Saturday: Reception for Changing Coastlines Extended by Artist Paula Tessier

 "It takes great courage to paint and let the inner landscape be seen. The oil paintings in 'Changing Coastlines Extended' embrace the changes in our climate and ecology. This show is a wakeup call. It invites deeper connections in the natural world for balance and upliftment.”—Paula Tessier.

Join us in the Great Hall to welcome oil painter Paula Tessier, and to view her large oil paintings. Refreshments will be served. Exhibit runs October 1 - November 30, 2013

Come to Turners Falls 3rd Thursday and carve a pumpkin to show off in Saturday's Pumpkin Fest display on Avenue A!


Costume contest in front of the Shea Theater at 7:30 p.m., judged by WHAI's Bobby C. and a panel of (ahem) World Famous Celebrities, with prizes for Best Kid Costume and Best Adult Costume

Prizes include $50 from Gary's Coins & Antiques, a $20.00 gift certificate from LOOT, a gift basket of ice cream goodies from Twisters

The Wordy Witch will be hurling spells at Nina's Nook! Spell the word, win a mini-pumpkin

Cake at Great Falls Discovery Center to celebrate its 10th birthday. Have a delicious slice while you learn about gourds, squashes, and pumpkins

Glow sticks and goodies at Funk*Shun

Pumpkin shakes, pumpkin cheesecake, Lefty's Octoberfest Beer at the Black Cow Burger Bar, plus an "Astrologer" from 5-8 p.m.

This is the last T3F for the season, but mark the date for Its a Wonderful Night holiday night out: Thursday December 19, 5:30-8:30!  Regular T3F events will resume in May!

Next Saturday: Reception for Painting the World Happy by artist Denyse Dar

Denyse Dar is a self-taught, naïve artist who began painting just two short years ago in 2011. Dar approaches life with an upside-down, inside-out perspective which translates into unique, happy works with a bright, bold sense of color. She paints the common places passed by everyday in a way that allows viewers to see it with fresh eyes and wonder. Her whimsical landscapes resonate deeply with viewers.

Reception October 19. Dar's work will be on display at Nina's Nook, 125A Avenue A Turners Falls MA from Oct 16 to Nov 23 with a reception with the artist on October 19, 5-8pm during the Pumpkin Festival in downtown Turners Falls. October 26: H'Art&Soul Presents Chelsea Berry at The Brick House

Chelsea Berry is a singer/songwriter with incredible edge, power and finesse. Chelsea has begun to attract the attention of radio stations, magazines and venues all over the Northeast. Her music rooted in the genres of folk and rock has recently taken a turn for alternative rock.
