For the past 15 years, Double Edge Theatre has
made its home in Ashfield. Each day, they learn more about the diverse group of artists who have chosen to live and work in this area. For this Conversation, they are joined by an exciting panel of
regional artists to discuss their art:

SYRUP: One Sweet Performing Arts Festival

Englanders know that March and April is the time of year when the sap starts to flow in our maple trees and people from around the region travel to our area to enjoy their favorite syrup at their
favorite sugar house. On Saturday, March 13th, they can also savor the sweetness of art with the premiere year of SYRUP: One Sweet Performing Arts Festival at one of the Pioneer
Valley's great performance spaces - Memorial Hall in Shelburne Falls. Piti Theatre Company presents a delicious potpourri of theatre, music, dance, door prizes, audience participation,
children's theatre workshops and special guests. Festival starts at 1 pm with rehearsal for children ages 7 - 10 who want perform in "Salmon Falls" at 2 pm when ages 5 & up can join;
"Spring Seeds Gala" evening program starts at 7 pm with singer/songwriter Carrie Ferguson and dancer Godeliève Richard, cellist Wayne Smith, Jonathan Mirin's solo show 28 FEET

'Celtic Heels Irish Dance Company' Live at the Shea Theater

Polish up your dancing shoes and get ready for the opening of the spring Square Dance Season. Eastern style, singing call square dancing - everyone is welcome. Whether you've danced for years,

Blue's Clues Live! The Most Spectacular Place

Presented by JaDuke Center for the Performing Arts, the show
begins when the curtain greets and welcomes the audience into the wonderful world of Theatre. On stage, Blue and Steve lead the audience on a clue-based journey, in search of the most spectacular
place of all. This quest takes them through Storybook Forest, where Blue and Steve meet The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks, The Big Bad Wolf, and other characters from classic fairytales. Blue and
Steve even travel to outer space in search of the most spectacular place, discovering planets and other celestial wonders along the way. When they discover the final clue, Blue and Steve learn that
aside from the surprise-filled world of Theatre, home is the most spectacular place of all! Performed for children of all ages come and discover he Most Spectacular Place at the JaDuke Center
for the Performing Arts.

Investigate clues
we invent and explore a colorful cast of characters we play to solve the crime we create.
August 9-13, 2010 Clowning Around Shakespeare:
Learn
about stage play and combat, comic bits, delightful language and the joy that play can bring all while relishing the language of the Bard.
Running time of camp, 9 am to 3 pm with mornings
devoted to theatre games and then on to rehearsal. Lunch will be provided in the beautiful Gibbs Dining Hall.
Recess will take place in the afternoon with activities including swimming in
Schwab Pool, walking to the Rock, playing on the fields, and enjoying the gym.
Performance each Friday afternoon to showcase week's work with parents and friends invited to each
performance. Each play is derived from games and improvisation and movement is incorporated into each "production."
