Open to new and continuing students, all experience levels welcome. The class will explore the elements of landscape painting in watercolor using a bamboo brush and tube watercolor paints. Learn
how to express light, color, and mood, utilizing
various techniques and methods.
Material fee includes: One set of 18 color paints, one bamboo brush and paper.

Accepting new students at the beginning of each month. Classes are designed to introduce children to visual arts and provide art enrichment beyond the school curriculum. A variety of media and
techniques will be explored - with a special focus on drawing skills, a point of departure for every project. Students will be introduced to the concept of drawing from a model, which includes
pictures and/or simple objects. In the later stages of each project, young artists are encouraged to use their own creativity to further develop their initial drawing into a finished composition.
Media explored include markers, waterbrushed markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, oil pastels, scratch art, printmaking, watercolor, and acrylic paints.

Drawing On The Right-side of The Brain

(Part I or previous drawing experience is a prerequisite for Parts II & III).
Using an innovative and experiential approach to drawing, this method is designed to develop the skills necessary for drawing with confidence. Whether you are a novice, a practicing artist or
believe you can’t draw at all, this three-part class of six weeks each, will expand abilities, enhance creativity and amaze you and your friends.
Part I includes the basics and the concept of negative space.
Part II covers perspective.
Part III will be devoted to portraits.

Clay Beads

Bead-making at its best - the creation of beautiful ornamental beads out of clays that can be oven-fired at home. Learn how to achieve the ultimate control over size, shape, color, and design of
the beads without investing in expensive tools and materials. Each week’s class will cover a different way of approaching this incredibly versatile medium.
Techniques include blending, texturing, using metallic foils and powders, making millefiori designs and shaping beads in a variety of different ways.The last class will be devoted to putting the beads
together to create personally designed jewelry.
